TEDxYoungstown 2016 postponed

TEDxYoungstown, scheduled to take place on January 22, 2016, in the Ford Theater located in Bliss Hall on the campus of Youngstown State University will be postponed until further notice.

“It was a very difficult decision for our committee. The 2016 speakers have worked so hard over the last six months developing their TEDxTalks. It is a big disappointment to them, and to us that they will not be sharing their Talks with the community as planned” comments Lorilyn Shandor, curator for the event. Ticket sales for the 2016 event have been significantly slower than years past despite efforts made by the committee. “It really boiled down to a financial decision. Without enough ticket sales we cannot afford to put the event on as planned. We need to evaluate the event, possibly make some changes, and bring it back to the community at a later date” states Shandor.

Anyone who has purchased tickets to the 2016 TEDxYoungstown will receive a full refund. Announcements regarding future events and more information about TEDxYoungstown can be found on our website.
